Friday Faves

We did it! We made it to Friday! This totally deserves a glass of wine. It may have been a long, busy week but I wanted to start a new series called “Friday Faves” — I’ll basically just share some of my fave things from around the internet this week and hope that you’ll find some of them of interest as well.

Perhaps it’s just me, but this first week of school has me utterly exhausted. I told myself that I would do more in the final weeks of summer break to prepare myself for the new school year, and like most declarations of this nature, I fell short — I ended up shoving as much “summer” in those last few weeks as possible, which means we went into the first day of school cold turkey. I won’t make that mistake again! Next year we are totally going to re-establish a school schedule earlier. Like totally.

Also, if you’ve run across something super awesome, feel free to share it in the comments. In case you are looking for a nice little day trip near L.A. I also wrote a thing about how great Santa Barbara is with kids.

Friday Faves

Five steps to cleaning out your closet for Fall (The Zoe Report) – because really, aren’t we all over summer?

Honey Lime Rainbow Fruit Salad – Just in case you aren’t actually over summer. yum!

Edible Cookie Dough (Purewow) – in case your husband has the patience of a toddler, too.

Five easy weeknight meals (Parents Magazine) – In case you — like me — utterly failed at the first week back to school.

That’s all. Next week look forward to a few posts covering back-to-school curated style & some of my go-to lunchbox essentials (and meals) for the first grader. Have a stellar weekend.

Xo, Kimberly Fe'Lix
