My Holy Grail non-toxic pressed serum: The Super Blend

Maya Chia The Super Blend non-toxic pressed serum- Felixinsideout

Once upon a time, I had dry, parched skin that couldn’t be quenched no matter how much moisturizer I used. Then I changed my diet, doubled my water intake, and discovered k-beauty and the moisturizing powers of pressed serum and all was right with the world. That is until I transitioned to green beauty, and needing a non-toxic pressed serum to replace my old fave, I felt I had to start over from scratch.

Well, not completely. I still make sure to eat a skin supporting diet and to drink half my weight (in ounces) of water per day, but the search for a non-toxic pressed serum that made me swoon was a long one. But now that I’ve found Maya Chia’sย The Super Blend, I’ll never look back.

Looking for a deeply nourishing pressed serum to solve all your parched skin problems? I got you. Let me introduce you to The Super Blend. ๐Ÿ’š

Maya Chia

Susanne Norwitz founded Maya Chia with a mission to support beautiful skin using the power of nature’s most active botanicals. Fueled by her fascination with the rituals of Mayan culture, she delivers on this promise by using Mayan native chia seeds and her own patented method of extraction. Hello Science, meet beauty. After years of research, Maya Chia’s Supercritical Extractionย was born. This is a gentle oxygen-free and solvent-free process that results in an oil entirely free of chemical residues and impurities.

Maya Chia is scrupulous about not onlyย how they extract their chia seed oil, but alsoย where they source the seeds themselves. Theirย seeds originate from select regions reputed for growing the highest quality chia, and they are meticulous about the growers with whom they work. What this means for you and I (the consumer) is that we get the purest, most stable, and potent chia oil on the market. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Not sure why this matters? Let me count the ways. High-quality Chia oil is lightweight, so it absorbs quickly and leaves skin deeply moisturized and radiant. Chia oil helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles because it is the richest plant source of omegas and antioxidants. In fact, Chia oil is clinically proven to significantly increase skin hydration, reduce trans-epidermal water loss and increase skin barrier function.โœจ Magical.ย โœจ

The Super Blend- Non-toxic Pressed Serum

This super concentrated pressed serum is the real mother-f-ing MVP. If you’ve followedย me for a while you know that pressed serums are my jam. I thought I loved pressed serums before my transition to green beauty. I had no idea how deep this love could go. This clean non-toxic formula blows any conventional pressed serum out of the water. Yup. I said what I said. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Don’t want to take my word for it? Well, this balm has been named an Editorโ€™s Pick by the Zoe Reportย and named one of the Best Face Balms by Vanity Fair. I told ya.

This yellow-hued beauty not only has an amazing antioxidant profile, but it also looks and smells fantastic. It’s filled with antioxidants likeย astaxanthin (one of natureโ€™s most potent antioxidants), vitamin c, supercritical chia (one of natureโ€™s most energy-dense superfoods) and polyphenols. All that goodness is blended in a base of babassu butter and kokum butter (also naturally rich in antioxidants). This luxuriouslyย complex pressed serum does so much. It helps to brighten, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and increase the look of skin resiliency. With it, you can’t lose.

The Super Blendย is definitely a splurge item ($105), but a little goes a really long way. A pea-sized amount is enough to cover my entire face and leave me feeling like a glowy, hydrated goddess. During the winter months, I used this morning and night. Sometimes, if I were feeling real “EXTRA,” I’d add a few drops of my favorite booster, like Odacitรฉ’sย A Winter in Paris ($149), but The Super Blend is truly enough on its own. During the Spring and Summer, I reserve this balm for my evening routine. The deluxe sample I got in January is still going strong. But you better believe I’ll be re-ordering this at the first signs of the bottom of the pot.

TL; DR? Basically, I’ll never be without this in my arsenal. [โœจHoly Grail status.โœจ]
