June is here, and my family is in full on summer mode; which kinda stinks for my 9yr old because he’s got one more week of school! Summer means pool days, lots of running around, and lazy afternoons. I love it, but it for sure takes a toll on my skin, so I’ve been super happy with the June Clean Beauty Box. This month’s Clean Beauty Box is themed ‘Sacred Sky,’ and it’s a play on the two brands founded by the amazing Celestyna Brozek. This month’s featured print is by the free form artist Lillian Farag, and I’m digging the ethereal summer vibes. The vibrant colors initially used on a one-of-a-kind hand painted leather work of art; this month’s artwork was adapted just for The Clean Beauty Box. It’s just so pretty, and I love how the new box design puts the artist on full display.
A little on Moss/Celestyna
Two things make Moss Skincare stand out above the crowd, in my opinion. First is their use of botanical hydrosols instead of water as the basis for their formulations. Botanical hydrosols contain the healing properties of plants, but have a pH more suitable for the skin, eliminating the need for harsh pH adjusters. Second is their research backed ingredient formulations; specifically, as it pertains to the use of active ingredients.
This means you can be confident that if you’re using something by Celestyna (moss or AMBAR), you’re getting the most efficacious formulation available. I.e., expect results! I’m a big fan, in fact, the Moss Beurre Céleste cleansing balm was elevated to holy grail status last year, and I also love Illumina, her exfoliating vitamin C serum. AMBAR Micellar Cleansing Essence
This gentle water-free cleanser removes pollution, oil, and light makeup easily. It rehydrates your skin with Viola Tricola +Yuca Extract and promotes wound healing with Rose Hydrosol + Resurrection Lily Extract, which are both anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. It is a truly elevated micellar water that is great for all skin types.
Micellar water is made up of micelles, which are tiny balls of oil suspended in water. Micelles work as part of the ‘like dissolves like’ construct and are attracted to the dirt/oil on your skin. The mild surfactant in this formulation (derived from apples) combines with the calming rose hydrosol to create this natural micelle solution. It quickly dissolves oil, sweat, and dirt.
I’m a huge fan of micellar water (ex- K-beauty fanatic), so I LOVE that it’s having a moment in green beauty. Use this as your morning cleanser, hydrating toner, post-workout, or just when you’re in a hurry. It legit does it all. Shake it well then use with a cotton pad to wipe away dirt and grime.

Moss Potentci Hydrating Emulsion
Potentci is a hydrating dermal repair emulsion that contains a potent antioxidant complex (Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline + Dimethlmehoxy Chromanol) marrying nature + science. I mean, really, everything Celestyna does marries these two things, which is precisely why I stan for her. This milky serum protects, rejuvenates, & repairs. It’s also packed with peptides and ceramides- which help with skin elasticity + moisture retention.
This hydrating milk is formulated to provide a balance of lipid and hydric moisture. It’s also packed with superfood oils and butters that offer a full deck of Omega 3s; these include murumuru butter, Abyssinian oil, moringa oil, and Sachi Inchi oil. If you’ve been following me for a while you’ve heard me praise Sachi Inchi Oil – which helps with scaring and rebuilding the skins natural protective barrier. I’ve used Sacha Inchi Oil in my children’s diet for years because it is so rich in vitamins E, A, and Omegas. I love seeing it show up in skincare because it’s honestly a powerhouse.
Potentci layers beautiful under other products and is a great step between your serum + oil/cream moisturizer. Just wait a few minutes before adding your final product to allow this to soak in and do its thing. I’ve been doing this: Cleanse ⟶ hydrating mist ⟶ eye area ⟶ serum ⟶ *Potentci* ⟶ oil.
