I don’t typicallyย do gift guides โ especially not a Mother’s Day gift guide. I pride myself on being a super amazing gift giver; like I pay super close attention all year long so that I can surprise the ones I love with the gift they were mooning over all year without even realizing they were mooning over it. I think gifts, no matter the occasion, should be thoughtful and personal.
And then I made some significant life changes (transitioning to clean beauty and a generally more natural, organic, lifestyle) which has made things more difficult for the ones I love. So, to make gift-giving easier on the ones we love, here are a few great options for the clean, non-toxic, mama in your life.
Note, I ย don’t eat chocolate, and I take a much more laid back approach to Mother’s Day because it’s all about my children celebrating me. And frankly, at 9, 5, and 2 years old, I don’t expect much. Give me brunch, a few thoughtful gifts, and I am happy as a clam. From my husband, a little something shiny always goes a long way; I mean I did birth three babies for him ๐. So, if you’re looking for a remix to the typical Mother’s Day Gift Guide, keep reading.
The Sill Mother’s Day Duo
Who doesn’t love flowers? They are an obvious go-to present, but these plants > flowers for two reasons. First, these easy care potted plants will last and last and every time mom sees them or waters them she’ll think of you. Second, I love that The Sill is making it super easy to become a plant parent with tons of useful information. Their mission, a plant for every sill, speaks to the inner Green Goddess in me. Now, if only that would translate to a green thumb.
A Clean Fragrance Experience (c/o Boxwalla)ย
Clean, nontoxic scents that don’t smell like straight up patchouli are hard to find. Trust me; I’ve been on the hunt for a hot minute. But this unique experience, curated by the lovely Lavanya over at The Boxwalla, might just be the best solution to the problem. I’ll be sharing more about this experience soon (*I’m an ambassador & received this box to try), but here’s the gist:
- Sign up for this one-time box (no commitment) & you’ll get a flight of all four scents by master perfumer Sigil Scent.
- Take your time experiencing each scent: Sniff em, have your husband sniff em, wear them out and about. Then when you’ve settled on the one you can’t live without ๐๐ฝ
- Receive a full-sizeย bottle of your fave scent.
This ‘Perfumer Series‘ experience is so unique in the clean beauty space. Though, I’m not surprised because Lavanya is genuinely a master curator. I’ll be sharing my thoughts over on IG as I discover Sigil Scent over the next few weeks.
Harnessing the ethereal beauty of 100% natural plant oils, absolutes, and tinctures, our premium gender-neutral fragrances are rooted in ancient perfumery techniques and infused with a contemporary edge.

An Ethical Edgy Earring
I first discovered Soko through Amour Vertย (a sustainable clothing & lifestyle brand), and I cannot get enough of their edgy pieces and their commitment to sustainable, eco-friendly materials. Not to mention they employ entrepreneurial artisans to really impact the most marginalized artisans in emerging markets. You know I like to put my money where my mouth is, and shopping for cute accessories from a brand with a global impact makes me feel andย look good. I mean, how perfect are these Threader earrings? I’ll take all three, thanks!
The Royal Treatment
I’ve talked a lot about Wabi-Sabi Botanicals, and the Valley of Light mask is truly divine. Pretty much the only thing that could make it better is THIS limited edition gift set which includes a hand-beaded Hindu offering box, the Valley of Light Illuminative Mask, a hand-crafted sustainable teakwood mixing dish, and a carved coconut shell scoop.
If you’re feeling extra fancy, throw in my favorite Wabi-Sabi facial mist, The Offering, and you’ll have mom masking like a queen ๐ธ๐ฝ. โ Save 15% off your entire first order with Code: FELIX15 ย โ
The Kimono of her Dreams
Several years ago I got a huge cotton robe for Mother’s day that I loved. But lately, I never reach for it because having babies turned me into a furnace. It’s just too warm. So I’ve been on the hunt for something gorgeous, lightweight, and that would make me feel super duper fancy. This Maison Du Soir Robe/Kimono fits the bill and comes in a few colors if this vibrant red isn’t your thing. It’s a bit of a splurge, but for the woman who birthed you (or the wife who birthed your babes), it’s totally worth it.
Happy Shopping!
I hope this Mother’s Day Gift Guide helps you find something perfect for your favorite mom, mama, maman, mother, or mom-like figure. If you gift one of my top picks, I’d love to hear how your number one lady reacts!
