Hello April! And Hello Spring! It’s the beginning of the month, so you know what that means, it’s time for the April Clean Beauty Box and this month they are serving up two beautiful products by a brand that I’ve been waxing poetic about for months – Wabi-Sabi Botanicals. A few weeks ago I wrote a brand love feature on Wabi-Sabi where I dished about all the reasons I love this brand and its founder, Elysse. And f you are still unfamiliar with the Wabi-Sabi products, this box is an excellent introduction.

April Clean Beauty Box x Balance
This month’s Clean Beauty Box is themed ‘Balance,’ and it is all about balancing, calming, and restoring both your skin and your wellbeing as we stumble into Spring. This month’s featured print is by the freelance illustrator Zoe Wodarz, and it’s giving me all of the spring vibes. The vibrant colors and rough ‘Mineral’ edges remind me of gemstones. It’s just so pretty, and I love how the new box design puts the artist on full display.
The April Clean Beauty Box features two full-sized products: The Giver Illuminative Ritual Cleanser (50ml, $60) + the Limited Edition Balancing Act Intesif Serum No.2 w/Crystal Roller (15ml, $52). This box is valued at $112, but it’ll only cost you $41.95 with a subscription. If you’re new to Clean Beauty Box, it’s super low commitment. You choose a 2, 6, or 12-month subscription (it gets cheaper with the longer subscriptions) and you can cancel at any time.

The Giver
This cleanser makes quick work of dirt, grime, or makeup and leaves your skin feeling super hydrated and nourished. Sapote Fruit Oil, Rosella Hibiscus oil, and Moringa oil bring all the AHAs, and vitamins (C+E) to the party, while roasted coffee bean oil & Cacao address the damaging effects of free radicals. The Sapote Fruit oil will leave your skin feeling supple and smooth, and apparently, the Rossella Hibiscus oil is called “Nature’s Botox” because of how well it exfoliates and firms skins with AHAs. This (forever) 30-something will take all the natural botox I can get.
I like to use The Giver to oil cleanse after a workout or to dissolve my makeup, but what I love most is that it is a true multitasker. Onto a clean face, it can be applied as a moisturizer. When using as a cleanser, a warm washcloth will wash it all away, leaving your skin hydrated and supple.
Balancing Act
This serum packs a punch. It’s a concentrated Omega 3 & 6 serum which is designed to balance skin, calm inflammation & minimize pore congestion. This ultra-lightweight blend of raw oils is perfect for sensitive skin and starts with a base of Guava Seed oil which soothes firms, and protects the skin from environmental damage. Borage seed oil helps regulate hormonal imbalances, and is high in Gamma Linoleic Acid; which is excellent at calming inflammation.
Also, I love that this serum uses Sacha Inchi Seed Oil — which helps with scaring and rebuilding the skins natural protective barrier. I’ve used Sacha Inchi Oil in my children’s diet for years because it is so rich in vitamins E, A, and Omegas. I love seeing it show up in skincare because it’s honestly a powerhouse. The Tiger Eye crystal is a stunning addition, making this product not only beautiful but also functional. This makes it so easy to incorporate a little crystal work into my everyday practice.
I like to roll this around my mouth and chin, where I experience the most inflammation, and rub it in with my fingers. This serum also makes an excellent full face moisturizer. Just roll it all over and get a little face massage while you’re at it.
Get Balanced
Yup, it’s another month where I can wholeheartedly recommend the Clean Beauty Box. This skincare duo perfect partners and just a pleasure to use, so if you’re interested in trying out Wabi-Sabi Botanicals, this is an excellent way to do it for a steep discount.
This box, valued at $112 only costs you $41.95 with your Clean Beauty Box subscription, and it’s a total steal.
