I like to take the time to welcome a new year and to lay the foundation for new habits. But more importantly, I like taking time to clear out the previous year. While we support many fully organic brands we also feature many brands that use ingredients that adhere to our strict guidelines for clean beauty without being certified organic. We want to ensure our brand name fully supports all of our featured brands and products.
To us, Clean Beauty is defined by products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind.
January Art of Organics x Rescue
This monthโs Clean Beauty Box theme, Rescue, could not be more appropriately timed. I don’t know about you, but after what seems like months of dry winter air and holiday overindulgence, I could use a whole lot of rescuing. This box features two brands, one that I’ve known and loved for ages, and one that I finally get to tick off of my “To Try” list. As always, it’s not just about what’s in the box, but what’s on the box, and this monthโs artwork is from Wild Hart Paper, a US-based studio with a focus on hand-lettering a whole slew of home goods, from greeting cards to art prints. I love monochrome eye pattern featured, and I’ll be checking out the website to elevate my tea towel collection (they have one in the same design!).

One Love Organics Vitamin C serum
Did you follow my 2018 Fave’s giveaways over on Instagram this past month? If so then you know my love for One Love Organics. I have a ton of their products (evening routine here) and gave away their Vitamin B Enzyme Cleanser + Vitamin C Body Oil because I absolutely adore those two products. In fact, I didn’t even have to open this months Vitamin C Facial Serum ($75) because I already have an open one in the mix. This serum is really nice and takes a triple action approach to address dull skin. There are two plant sources of Vitamin C and a clinically proven botanical active to increase luminosity and nourish skin. In this bottle, you’ll find green tea seed oil, baobab oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and ascorbyl palmitate (which fights free radicals).
Not sure if you need a Vitamin C serum in your routine? Chances are if you have fine lines, dull skin, or simply are looking for a little more GLOW, you would benefit from a Vitamin C serum. One thing I will note about this serum is that it is an oil-based serum (Jojoba + Shea are the first two ingredients), so it goes on a little thicker than many serums. It does absorb quickly, however, and I’ve even used it as a final step (no additional moisturizer) when I’ve applied an extra pump or two. This serum is very moisturizing.
HENNร Organics Lip mask + Lip Balm
I tried a LOT of things in 2018, but one brand that I never got around to exploring was Hennรฉ Organics and let me just say, this will not be the last you hear of me talking about this brand. This brand is founded on the principles of simplicity and adding a splash of luxury into your everyday experience; without compromising design, ethics, or your health. I mean, c’mon! Right?
My first experience was to just swipe the products on, because duh! I got this box in the middle of December and was literally searching for a lost lip balm when I was like, “oh wait, I have a new one to try” and guys, my lips are in love. I have quite a few lip balms floating around but this luxe little number (Luxury Lip Balm V2, $19) is the only one that I make sure to keep out of reach of my toddler. It is so hydrating and hella luxe. Like, I feel fancy when I pop it out of my purse. It’s so simple, too. Just a handful of organic oils; like Coconut Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, and Beeswax to name a few; but it gets the job done.
Want to feel extra Luxe?
Use the Lip Mask ($37) first and your lips will be beyond kissably soft. What I love about this lip mask is that it has skincare grade oils in it, so you’re not only soothing your lips, but you are nourishing and restoring them as well. You’ll find Sea Buckthorn, Evening Primrose and Pomegranate seed oil, which will nourish, restore, and combat aging. Additionally, peppermint, lemon, and sweet orange peel essential oils will boost circulation and indulge your senses. Think of this as you would a face mask. You slather it on, wait 15 or so minutes, and then remove it gently with a tissue.
Lip game elevated.

You can’t go wrong with the skin and lip rescuers you’ll find in the January Clean Beauty Box. Also, at this price point, it’s a steal! If you haven’t tried anything by One Love Organics, this is a great introduction to their quality and attention to detail. As for Hennรฉ Organics, what can I say, I’m impressed. I think the lip tints in both “Intrigue” and “Bare” are calling my name; not to mention the lavender mint lip exfoliator, I mean, yum! Have you tried anything by OLO or Hennรฉ?
